The U.S. Coast Guard in the state of Maryland is looking for two members of the Kennedy family who are missing in a bay. It concerns a granddaughter and great-grandson of the murdered Democratic former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy.

Maeve Kennedy Townsend McKean, 40, and her 8-year-old son, Gideon, disappeared Thursday afternoon after taking to the water in a canoe in Chesapeake Bay. The Washington Post reports that they went after a ball that got into the water.

Yesterday, a canoe similar to the missing boat was found. Kennedy’s husband, David McKean, continues to search for his wife and son.
