Grand Theft Auto Vice City Remaster: Modders Present Extended Gameplay Video for RAGE Engine Port

Earlier this month, news emerged of a modding project that aims to port Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to the RAGE game engine from GTA IV. Recently, a team of modders presented an extended gameplay video.

The GTA Vice City remaster will be a complete transfer of all missions from the original game to the RAGE engine. The mod is currently targeting a release date of 2025, so it’s still a long way off before we’ll be able to play it. If he is allowed to be released at all.

The mod will include an improved version of the city and weapons from the Definitive Edition remaster. All cars from the Xbox version of the original game will be available. In addition, the models of all characters and pedestrians will be taken from the Xbox version. As far as we know, there are no plans to increase their polygonality. However, the textures of all 3D models will be improved.

All original radio stations will also be present in this unofficial remaster. And while the project will use the scenes and style of the original game, it also promises improved particle effects and some lighting improvements.
