A vile and malevolent phenomenon called swatting has been a problem for streamers for years. In the eyes of some viewers, the raid by armed police officers on an innocent content creator is incredible fun, but none of us would want to be in the shoes of the broadcasters themselves. He also ended up in a similar situation, due to some not-so-intelligent-minded person, on Thanksgiving herec Ned Luke.
Ned Luke became famous as the man who he lent his voice to one of the three protagonists GTA Vto Michael De Santa. The actor was spending his evening leisurely playing GTA Online with the community when he suddenly had to cut the broadcast short. He received a phone call from which he learned that an emergency unit had broken into his house. Probably because of the moron who filed a false police report.

But the question is whether that individual was at all pleased with his act in the finale – for the police did not burst directly into Luke’s room. The main purpose of swatting is trying to capture the streamer’s reaction when the door suddenly flies open and several gunmen start shouting at him.
It didn’t take long for the social media players to start to speculate on how the intervention in Luek’s house actually took place. Some have blamed Rockstar for allegedly failing to hide players’ IP addresses from being accessed by modders. But Luke himself commented on one such post, saying that everyone is jumping to big conclusions and it has nothing to do with Rockstar.
“These idiots they released my private information years ago and have been doing this crap ever since,“ wrote Luke on X. Evidently, this was not the first time he found himself in a similar situation.
Y’all jumping to some large ass conclusions. This had nothing to do with Rockstar. These assholes leaked my private info years ago and have been doing this shit since. Anyone’s info is available online if you are sick enuff to really wanna find it. 🤷🏼

There have been a lot of funny posts on X in response to the clip from the stream going viral, like the one you see below. “I’m not sure it’s a good idea to kill a man who robbed millions and killed hundreds, but hey” stands in post. The author clearly alludes to the fact that Luke is behind the character of Michael De Santo.
Not sure if swatting the guy who’s robbed millions and killed hundreds is a good idea, but hey, natural selection works in mysterious ways. pic.twitter.com/7iDPt9rUZ9
