Grand Prix de la Saucisse Espalaisien: Final Round of Departmental Cycling Challenge 82 – Results and Rankings

The Grand Prix de la Saucisse Espalaisien hosts this Sunday, October 1, the last of the eight rounds of the Departmental Cycling Challenge 82 supported by the partners, Montalbanais Feutrier Cycles, Shimano, La Kiosque à Pizza, Intersport, Mon Opticien, and the restaurant Les Lansquenets. This competition began on March 26, in Les Barthes, via Puycornet, Sérignac, Saillagol, Labastide-du-Temple, Castelmayran, and Valence d’Agen. Overall, no category is safe from final upheaval. The suspense therefore remains intact for these last turns of the wheel!

For all categories, from cadets to 1st, the leaders can still be surprised tomorrow, knowing that participating brings 10 points, and a victory counts for 10. However, there are often only around fifteen points maximum difference between the first and the third; you will therefore have to participate and also achieve a good result to stay on the “box”.

Provisional rankings. 1st category. Robin Duez Castelsmayran is ahead of Ludovic Ganza (EC Montauban), and Théo Salgado (Montauban cycling 82).

2nd category. Julien Vallade (CA Castelsarrasin) is ahead of Joël Feutrier (Espalais), and David Dardenne (Castelsagrat).

3rd category. Thierry Lacombe (Castelmayran) currently occupies the lead, ahead of Philippe Brousset (Campsas), and Adrien Bongiovanni (ALVA Valence d’Agen). The three runners stand in five small points; the final sprint will be hell!

4th category. Abdelkrim Benabdelme (EC Montauban) is leader, while Jean-Claude Marty du Lot, and Marc Chezeaud (EC Montauban) will compete for second place.

Senior women. The matter is almost settled since Célia Duez (Castelmayran) is in a very favorable tie, ahead of Myriam Moreau (Nègrepelisse), and Lucie Souton (ALVA Valence d’Agen).

Young people are progressing. It is nice to see more and more young people participating thanks to the efforts of the clubs. Among the cadets, we find in the order Aélis Mahieux (CA Castelsarrasin), Eléa Rous (CA Castelsarrasin), and Chloé Fayard (Castelsmayran), and among the boys Léo Poulain d’Andecy (Montauban cycling 82), Julien Bach (Saint -Project), and Bryton Stoll (ALVA Valence d’Agen). Among the juniors, we find Mathéo Goy Guibert (CA Castelsarrasin), Thomas Kherfouche (Montauban cycling 82), and Léa Barthèlemy. Erwann Glous (CA Castelsarrasin) is leader in Initiations 1, and Hugo Sarda (Montauban cycling 82) in Initiations 2.
