Jacobo Gonzalez-Robatto, who was precisely Macarena Olona’s campaign coordinator, is the head of the party’s list for these elections. In the Senate, the starting position in the province is occupied by José Manuel Pérez.

Something different is the case of Podemos. The purple party, with 12% of support in 2019 and one deputy, will not attend these elections; will do it instead summerthe confluence led by Yolanda Díaz and in which the leftist formation has been integrated at the national level.

Martina Velarde is the head of the Sumar Congress list in the province, while Mariano Martin will do the same in the Senate.

The electoral repetition

If there is something that defines the current parliamentary arc, beyond the coalitions and support, it is the electoral repetition, which called on two occasions in the same year, in April and in November, to the people of Granada, and the rest of Spaniards, to elect their representatives to Congress and the Senate.

The still photo that came out of both elections it barely changed. The PSOE also emerged victorious from 28A, with three deputies and 33.8% of the votes, while Vox and Podemos were also left with a single representative in Congress, thanks to 14.1 and 13.6% respectively.

The one who did change its results was the Popular Party, which, without the electoral repetition, would have had a single parliamentarian in the province since the 17.3% of the votes obtained by Ciudadanos also earned it a representative, which it finally lost to the PP. .
