Sony Interactive Entertainment will be holding online qualifying for the world championship “Gran Turismo World Series 2024” for the PlayStation 5/PlayStation 4 driving simulator “Gran Turismo 7” from April 17th.
It has been decided that the Gran Turismo World Series 2024, the world tournament for Gran Turismo 7, will be held. This year, a new format will be introduced for the Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup, with six rounds of online qualifying each.
The “Nations Cup” will start on April 17th, and will transition to the “Manufacturers Cup” on May 8th. Each qualifying round will be held over three weeks.
The top players in the online qualifying round will advance to a live event with an audience, consisting of four rounds, including the climax of the series, the “World Finals.” This tournament is open to all players who own Gran Turismo 7 through the in-game “Sports” mode.
In addition, Montreal, Prague, and Tokyo have been selected as the venues for Rounds 1 to 3 of the World Series, which will be a live event. The venue for the “World Final” will be announced at a later date.
