A few days ago, a report appeared on the Internet that the Japanese studio Polyphony Digital is allegedly preparing the biggest update yet for its racing game Gran Turismo 7. This was claimed by a community member with the nickname Nenkai and it was speculated that it could be related to the release of the new Forzy Motorsport. The author of the series, Kazunori Yamauchi, continued his tradition on Twitter over the weekend shared silhouettes of new cars that will expand the GT7 garage. At the same time, their number alone suggests that this could indeed be the largest expansion of content to date.
It was again Nenkai who among the first these cars identified. According to him, these are Lexus LFA ’10, Dodge Challenger SRT Demon ’18, NISMO 400R ’96, Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 – 16 Evolution II ’91, Dodge Charger R/T 426 Street Hemi ’68, Porsche 911 (992 ) GT3 RS ’22 and Tesla Motors Model 3 Performance ’23. Seven new pieces in total.
Jamauči itself is beckoning for a “big update” and it should come already this week. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything else about him officially. However, it is generally assumed that it will not be limited to new cars. The developers have already expanded the game with new tracks in the past, and we should very likely expect a new circuit after several smaller expansions.
Gran Turismo 7 received the biggest portion of news so far this February together with the launch of the new PlayStation VR2 headset. In addition to full virtual reality support, Update 1.29 also brought the (old) new Grand Valley track, Sophy artificial intelligence, or five new cars. Expansions usually come with a trio of new cars.
