Gran Turismo 7 features over 400 different cars – Gaming – News

This game focused mainly on online racing and did not include an extensive single player campaign like the previous games in the series.

But that’s not true at all. It’s true that GT Sport didn’t have a lot of single player content in the beginning, but that was solved within a year of release with a hefty load of free patches. The game is now packed with single player content. So much so that it is not inferior to previous titles.

In addition to the arcade mode, there is a very extensive driving school (48 missions), mission challenges (64 missions), track experience (each track, including DLC) and GT League with a huge number of races (301!), from short beginner races to about 24 1-hour endurance races. And that’s all added for free. Then there is the (paid) Lewis Hamilton challenge. There is also an extremely extensive photo mode, in both in-game locations and special locations.

Even in sports mode you will find many players who never race online, but only focus on the weekly qualifying leaderboards.

In total there are almost 340 cars in the game, of which about 50% have been added as free DLC and you can all unlock them via the single player.

What is missing is the extensive tuning, at least the performance tuning is in the game, only the purchase of this has been greatly simplified. There is also no external tuning (of course stickers, etc., but no spoilers, splitters, etc). There is also no second hand market.

If you look purely at the number of hours of races and challenges that are in the game, it comes pretty close to other Gran Turismo games. For comparison, GT6 had about 230 league races, GT Sport so 301, and in general the races in GT6 are even shorter.

I can wholeheartedly recommend every single player player to get GT Sport for next to nothing. The game has been regularly discounted to $10, still looks great without ever dropping a frame below 60, so it contains enough SP content to keep you busy for weeks.
