Gran Turismo 7 boss rejects allegations of aggressive …

The latest update for Gran Turismo 7 introduced sharp reductions in payouts after races. This makes the process of earning enough to buy new cars a tedious process, but developers Polyphony Digital reject claims that the goal is to push microtransactions.

In a message on the game’s website game manager Kazunori Yamauchi took up the charges. He says that players should have access to many different cars and races without having to use microtransactions.

The plan is also that you will have to run the same races over and over again to earn enough money. Admittedly, this will first be resolved through future content for Gran Turismo 7, which Yamauchi can not yet say anything about.

– We will eventually tell you about the plans for additional content, more races and more features that will help fix this problem. It’s a shame I can not explain more right now, but we plan to continue adjusting on Gran Turismo 7 so that as many players as possible can enjoy the game.

Yamauchi then urged players to look at the bigger picture, apparently instead of criticizing short-term changes.

– We had really appreciated if everyone could look at the growth of Gran Turismo 7 in the slightly longer term.

Then it remains to be seen whether that explanation is enough to satisfy dissatisfied players.
