Grammy-Nominated Artist Luce Dufault to Perform at Baie-Saint-Paul Church for Kermesse Fundraising Event

The unveiling took place during a press conference Thursday morning. The show will take place on October 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Baie-Saint-Paul church.

It was a combination of circumstances that led Luce Dufault to accept the offer from the Kermesse team. In fact, a few years ago, David Tremblay, president of Simard Suspensions, a partner of the event, came to the artist’s aid when her suspension broke in the company’s parking lot. He kept in touch with the singer-songwriter who ultimately contacted the organization.

David Tremblay even speaks of a privilege to have an artist of this stature in Baie-Saint-Paul. Sylvie Villeneuve, instigator of the Fair, said she was excited by the singer’s “highly anticipated” announcement.

For Sylvie Villeneuve, it is more than important to hold this type of activity to give back to the community, especially since the Kermesse show is the event headed by Ms. Villeneuve’s team which brings in the most money. to organizations.

The funds raised will go to Forum Jeunesse for the expansion and development of the St-Hilarion youth center, the Marie-Noëlle farm which introduces children to agriculture and to the CPE du Soleil à la lune for the development an outdoor courtyard which will promote nature education.

Tickets posted on Luce Dufault’s website have already found takers, assures Sylvie Villeneuve and people from outside the region will come to the show. She believes it will be complete fairly quickly.

Last year, nearly $26,000 was raised during the 2Frères concert. Over the past 5 years, $100,000 has been raised.

For his part, the mayor of Baie-Saint-Paul, Michaël Pilote highlighted the social and community involvement of the Kermesse team. “That citizens can have access to shows here is great. After the floods this spring, it’s good to take my mind off things. ”

Activities will also take place during the winter period.

Tickets are on sale for $30 and $50 (VIP) at Familiprix Clermont, at the Baie-Saint-Paul presbytery, at the Boucherie at the Le Village shopping center and from Sylvie Villeneuve.
