It looks like the women may dominate this year’s Grammys.
Nevertheless, the Swedish composer takes home the category of best film score.

One of the first to receive an award at the night’s gala was the Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson as wins the category best film score for his work in the hit film “Oppenheimer”.
In total during the gala, Ludwig has five nominations and he already has three Grammys. For the film music in “Oppenheimer” he also won a Golden Globe earlier this year, and is an Oscar nominee.

More Swedes have a chance to win at the gala. In the category of best metal performance is the hard rock band Ghost with the front man Tobias Forge nominated. They also received the same nomination last year – without a win.
In the category of best traditional blues album is the Swedish-American blues musician Eric Bibb nominated.

SZA has the most nominations
Otherwise, it is a female-dominated gala this year, judging by the nominations. The female dominance is great in the heavy categories, and the American singer SZA has the most nominations – a total of nine. This is followed by names such as Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Miley Cyrus with a number of nominations each.
Jon Batistewho last year was the most nominated artist with eleven nominations, also has a chance of winning in six categories this year.
The gala is hosted by the comedian and talk show host Trevor Noahand among the artists performing are among others Joni MitchellU2, Billie Eilish, Billy JoelDua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo and Travis Scott.
