“At the end of the final exam, the trainees achieved a success rate of 100% in the chief of apparatus and chief of guard modules… For the complementary technical modules, 92% success in the Prevention Certificate and, 100 % for the level 1 chemical risks module”he said.
Adji Samba, the Delegate of the trainees, also the valedictorian, reminded his comrades of the importance after this course. “We were all up to it throughout the course, but the best thing is to consolidate what we have learned within our respective units”he invited.
Recognition to two officers
On the occasion of this promotion outing, two fire officers saw their merit officially recognized. Two fairly representative and important places for the Higher Institute for Civil Protection Studies (ISEPC) have been named in their memory. The first place concerns a place of arms, baptized in the name of Brigadier General Silas Kéita.
“This place of arms has an area of 1,881 m² and has 33 flagpoles symbolizing the high sense of diplomacy as embodied by General Kéita. On this place d’armes, the coat of arms of Burkina Faso, the logo of the BNSP and that of the ISEPC sit royally alongside the name of this illustrious elder.
This testifies to all the good he has brought to his country, to the fire brigade and finally to the institute during his professional career.”explained Boubacar Kéita, Director General (DG) of ISEPC.
The late Sub-Lieutenant Célestin Tapsoba is that other officer. Intern in the 3e promotion of the initial training of fire officers, he lost his life in June 2014 while the BNSP was performing its monthly sports session at the Joseph Conombo municipal stadium.
“The institute makes it its duty to immortalize his memory by dedicating to him its brand new sports hall with an area of 224 m² fully equipped by the State budget”suggested the CEO of the institute.
