The blood drive on Thursday March 9, 2023 welcomed 88 potential donors, including 2 new ones. 81 could be sampled. This number is within the average of the collections of this post-covid period. A strong remobilization is expected at the local and national level because the needs remain at least stable.
This fundraising day, sponsored by the donors themselves, saw an important presentation of diplomas and medals. Indeed, the course of any donor is punctuated by small rewards after different levels specific to women and men. A hundred of these rewards were to be distributed to some 400 to 500 donors in the territory who offer their blood to Lacapelle.
Among those rewarded, we will mention three silver medals awarded to Martine Landes, Eliane Maury, Francis Roussilhes and two gold medals awarded to Christine Arcimoles and Laurence Cavaillé. Beautiful examples of generosity and perseverance. For the occasion, the French Blood Establishment was represented by Déborah Iragne, in charge of promoting donation, and Didier Ethève, deputy manager of the Quercy basin. Both were also able to discuss with the leaders of the friendly country of Lacapelle at the level of donation awareness strategies.
