For the first time in history, graduates of the Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine were awarded commemorative medals with the name of the current head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov.
It is reported by ZN.UA.
The commemorative medal is not a departmental award, since it is not one of the four regulated awards of the SBU.

According to media reports, it could not be minted for money from the state budget.
Who is Bakanov
Ivan Bakanov – Ukrainian statesman. Head of the Security Service of Ukraine since August 29, 2019. Member of the NSDC since May 28, 2019.
Was born in the city of Krivoy Rog. Childhood friend of Vladimir Zelensky, with whom he studied together, and later worked together on various projects, including “Studio Kvartal-95”.
Graduated from the Kiev National Economic University. Getman (1997) and the Academy of Labor, Social Relations and Tourism (2006) (specialty – “Court, Advocacy and Prosecutor’s Office”). Since January 25, 2013 Bakanov has been the head of Kvartal 95 LLC, and since December 27, 2013 – the head of Kvartal-95 Studio LLC.
From December 2, 2017 to May 27, 2019, Bakanov was the chairman of the Servant of the People party, created by Zelensky’s supporters. During the election campaign, he led Zelensky’s headquarters.
