Suyanto’s ability to make airplane make a lot of people curious. He assembles the Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) aircraft.

Suyanto said that the formal education he took was only up to STM. Graduated from STM PGRI Babat, he did not continue to college. The ability to make airplanes was obtained by Suyanto when he migrated to the United States.

“I graduated from STM PGRI Babat, Mas. I left for the United States after graduating from STM around 2002,” said Suyanto at his home, Tronggolonggong Hamlet, Sumberagung Village, Modo District, Wednesday (15/12/2021).

While in Uncle Sam’s country, said Suyanto, he worked in an aircraft manufacturing industry. During his 4 years in America, Suyanto got the expertise to make Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) aircraft. Starting from the design process to workmanship. In fact, Suyanto’s expertise has been officially recognized, as evidenced by the certificate he received from America.

“Thanks to an acquaintance’s invitation, I was there (USA) for more than 4 years and held an aircraft designer certificate from America,” said Suyanto.

Returning from America, Suyanto then tried to put the knowledge he had learned in the US into practice. Making an airplane, according to Suyanto, is something that is easy as long as it has complete tools and masters mathematics and physics.

“If the equipment is complete, it is not difficult. For me, making airplanes, designing airplanes is very easy. We master the mathematics and physics,” he said.
