FAJAR.CO.ID — The grass replacement for the Jakarta International Stadium or JIS field will be carried out in stages. PT Jakarta Propertindo targets the replacement of the grass in the JIS fields to be completed before next November.
As is known, JIS will be the main venue for the U-17 World Cup which will take place from November to December 2023.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has assigned PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), which is the manager of JIS, to repair and replace the grass.
President Director (Director) of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Iwan Takwin said, the replacement of JIS grass will be carried out in stages. He is targeting replacement of JIS grass fields before November at least.
Iwan Takwin explained, his party made observations or observations in the field while preparing nurseries. That way, once the turf has been repaired, it won’t happen again.
Lawn maintenance or repair, said Iwan Takwin, does not only pay attention to sunlight. “There are other factors that also have an effect, including air conditioning and wind circulation,” said Iwan at the PUPR Ministry Office, Wednesday (9/8/2023).
Iwan Takwin said that he had prepared a replacement grass nursery. However, he did not mention the type of grass that would be used as a substitute.
In the replacement process, said Iwan, there are different methods that will be applied. One of them is sewing or grass stitching.
“This is being observed so that when it is sewn or stitched the quality is really good,” said Iwan.
