Governor Andrew Cuomo has said the number of new cases of coronavirus infection continues to decline in New York state.
Moreover, certain regions of the State have started their phase of deconfinement.
There were around 400 new confirmed cases on Saturday.
Hospitalizations have also fallen.
Sadly, 157 New Yorkers died on Friday.
A gradual deconfinement
Cuomo has indicated that New York State racetracks will be open starting June 1, with no spectators.
The Watkins Glen motor racing circuit will also reopen on the same date. A NASCAR circuit race is also scheduled there in August.
