Compared to 2022, out of 108 high schools, 85 have increased their standard scores, 11 have decreased and 12 have kept their standards.

Among 85 schools with increased benchmark scores, 10 schools have the highest standard scores, of which Nguyen Thuong Hien High School takes the highest score with 25.50 points. Next is Gia Dinh High School with 24.50 points and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School with 24.25 points.

The remaining 12 schools have the same standard scores, including Thanh Da High School, Han Thuyen High School, Da Phuoc High School, An Nhon Tay High School, Trung Lap High School, Phu Hoa High School, Duong Duong High School, and Long Thoi High School.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, it is absolutely not allowed to change your wishes after announcing the enrollment results (specifically, the form of transferring schools after being admitted). The Department of Education and Training as well as the high schools do not accept applications nor handle requests for change of wishes. High schools only accept TS documents on the list of students who are admitted to grade 10 of their units.

Seven schools take the standard score of only 10.5 points

There is a big gap between the top 10 schools and the bottom one.

Many schools in the periphery such as Can Gio district or Cu Chi district take the standard score of only 10.5 points, with an average of 3.5 points for each subject.

With this score, there are seven schools, of which five are in Can Gio district including Da Phuoc High School, Thanh An Middle School, An Nghia High School, Binh Khanh High School, Can Thanh High School and two schools in Cu Chi District including An High School. Nhon Tay and Trung Lap High School.

Meanwhile, if the mark is taken from 12 points or less, the whole city has 16 schools in this group. In which, there are a number of schools with a standard increase of 0.5-1 points compared to 2022, such as Nguyen Van Linh High School, Nguyen Van Tang High School, and Sports Gifted High School.

Most of these schools are in the periphery, few candidates (TS) register their aspirations. Many schools such as Phuoc Kien, Ngo Gia Tu, Nguyen Van Linh, Long Truong, Nguyen Van Tang, Phong Phu, Trung Lap, and Da Phuoc high schools all had a much smaller number of students registered for the exam than the assigned target. •

This year, nearly 96,000 PhD students registered for the exam, while the total enrollment target of public high schools was 77,294 students. Thus, there will be more than 18,000 students failing grade 10 in the public sector.
