A foreign player and another national player will head the list of reinforcements that coach Mario Salas drew up, together with the club president, Sergio Gioino, to strengthen the 2024 squad, which begins its preseason this Wednesday at the Paso Alejo Sports Complex.
These are the 30-year-old Argentine midfielder, former Instituto Central Córdova, Gabriel Graciani, and the young 22-year-old hitmaker, former Wanderers, Matías Plaza.
Trans-Andean experience
Graciani, nicknamed “Tano”, landed in Chile and should appear in Paso Alejo. The experienced midfielder rejected a late offer from Colón de Santa Fe, because he had already agreed to sign him in Ñublense until December 2024.
The native of Bovril, Entre Ríos, arrived in Glory in 2022 and was part important part of the team that ended up achieving the historic promotion to the First Division. There he scored 13 goals in 31 games, being the team’s top scorer. He renewed and joined the team in the Professional League, playing 24 matches and scoring two goals.
He made juniors in Colón de Santa Fe, where he debuted in First Division. He then played for Estudiantes de La Plata, Independiente, Atlético Rafaela, Patronato, San Martín de Tucumán, Olimpo and Sarmiento de Junín.
Wizard Plaza
Meanwhile, Matías Plaza, brother of the remembered “Mago” Plaza who played in Third Division champion in Ñublense in 2024, will finally arrive in Ñublense, as the Wanderers leadership assures that he already had a pre-agreement with the Chillanejo club and because he belongs to the 4-3-3 agency. This made him not accept the last Caturra offer and say no to the call of Miguel Ponce, who wanted him for the Unión Española team.
