TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Great app Grab Singapore with Lendlease innovated on autopilot to facilitate food orders at restaurants.
This pilot service is named robot runners and tested at Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) Mall, starting the second week of June.
This delivery service robot will help order restaurants that partner with grabs at several restaurants in the mall.
The way it works is quite simple, before handing it over to a shipping partner at a central collection point for long-distance shipments. So, this helps GrabFood merchants when facing a large order situation.
Through this pilot project service, it is projected that Grab delivery partners can save between five and fifteen minutes of time from the time it takes to serve orders. Since Grab introduced the mix-and-match feature to several malls in Singapore last year, this feature has grown in popularity among consumers as they can order from various restaurants within the mall and only pay one delivery fee.

This pilot was rated as excellent for enhancing the delivery experience by reducing overall delivery times, and potentially allowing delivery partners to fulfill more orders per day.

The same thing was also conveyed by Managing Director of Grab Singapore Yee Wee Tang. Yee believes that the Robot Runner technology will support restaurant operations in the Mall.
Thanks to this technology, it is hoped that Grab partners can safely achieve solutions for good business and technology collaboration.
