“Next I bought Coca-Cola to put cocaine back in,” he wrote on Twitter via the @elonmusk account, Thursday (28/4/2022).

Soon after, Muskposting screenshot of tweet earlier where he said, “Now I’m going to buy McDonald’s and fix all the ice cream machines”, and jokingly responded to himself with tweet; “Listen, I can’t do miracles ok”.
Known for his outlandish statements, Musk’s reputation on Twitter preceded him—long before he bought the company.

Musk has, in the past, surveyed Twitter users, asking if he should sell 10% of his Tesla shares to pay for unrealized capital gains, after which he actually sold nearly $7 billion of Tesla shares when more than 57% polling participants chose to support the suggestion.
In the weeks leading up to the Twitter takeover, when Musk was only set to join the board and nothing else, the Tesla founder tweeted a series of ideas he believed could improve the platform, with some looking serious — like possibly introducing an edit button — while others seem very odd, like turning Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters into a homeless shelter.
Tweets about his planned “annexation” of the Coca-Cola company cannot be confirmed as joking or serious given his history of acting on his outlandish social media statements. However, tweetHis alluding to cocaine is a nod to the veteran beverage company’s colorful history with cocaine.
The soft drink is named after the Coca-Cola trademark named for its two main ingredients: coca leaves and kola nuts.
While kola nuts are a source of caffeine, coca leaves are the basis from which the psychoactive drug cocaine is extracted.
Coca-Cola at one point used coca leaves, with cocaine in them, when the ingredient was still considered a drug in the nineteenth century.
However, as the drug became stigmatized and prohibition swept across the US, cocaine was removed from their secret formula and replaced with coca leaves decocainised.
