GRA initiates management with a complaint to the manager
The holder of GREA will be denounced for abuse of authority and omission of duties
The regional secretary of the Teachers’ Union of Arequipa (Simag), Walter Andía, reported that in the next few hours he will file a formal complaint before the judiciary against the current education executive, Noemí Huichi and his predecessor, Santos Benavente; for crimes of abuse of authority, omission of duties and union discrimination.
The teacher reported that the governor’s trusted official, Rohel Sánchez, arrives with an irregular past, represented by the bias he implements in issuing resolutions that favor Sutep in the majority.
“He has rapprochements with the Patria Roja del Sutep and with the governor (Rohel Sánchez).
Huichi does not act within the legal framework, he covers the former manager Benavente and discriminates Simag by not respecting the collective agreement”, he said. He specifies that the damage generates emerging moral damage and loss of profit, against which they will ask for compensation of 600 thousand soles, instead denounced an alleged criminal organization that operates within the GREA together with the Administration and Legal Advice Office.
“Santos Benavente (former GREA manager) continues to operate and is not sanctioned, despite the existence of a resolution (see image),” he said.
REJECTION. For his part, the councilor of Arequipa, Fernando Cornejo, regretted the decision by Sánchez Sánchez to make this designation and stressed that the entities in charge of proposing leaders in the GREA are the same UGELs which are in contact with teachers, schools and parents family’s.
