(Keystone-ATS) The “La granda e la pitta” project was developed by two architectural firms: OG27 of Trimmis and Albertin Architekten of Haldenstein, the municipality recalls on its website. Design is expected to be completed in spring next year.
The current location of the school is dated and has too narrow spaces to be able to carry out lessons adequately. Furthermore, for some years there has been an increase in the number of students. According to the message from the Municipality, 42 students are registered for the 2024/2025 school year in the nursery and primary school of Maloja, almost double compared to ten years ago.
3.3 million for the multipurpose hall in Promontogno
Last night the municipal assembly also approved a credit of 3.3 million francs for the restoration of the multipurpose hall in Promontogno. The structure had been damaged by debris flows following the Pizzo Cengalo landslide in the summer of 2017. The note states that the building is insured by the Grisons Building Insurance, which will assume at least two million francs of the costs of intervention. The rest will be covered by Zurich Insurance and the municipality.
Work is scheduled to begin in spring 2025 and should be completed by early 2026.
