The Governor of North Sinai, Major General Muhammad Abdel Fadil Shusha, confirmed in an interview with Sky News Arabia on Sunday that the city of Al-Arish has turned into a large warehouse to receive humanitarian aid provided to the people of Gaza, speaking about indications of the possibility of bringing aid into the Strip.
Shousha added that this aid is provided by Egypt or other countries as well as international organizations.
The governor of North Sinai explained that there are indications of the possibility of opening a safe corridor to deliver aid to the Strip, through the Kerem Shalom crossing, especially after the statements of US President Joe Biden in this regard.
The governor added that the health sector in the governorate is fully prepared to receive the wounded Palestinians and provide them with the necessary medical care upon their arrival from the Rafah crossing.
The governor inspected the convoys of humanitarian aid that arrived in Al-Arish before handing them over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for storage, in accordance with established procedures, pending reaching an agreement regarding their entry into Gaza.
