Governor of Lampung Urges Public and Entrepreneurs to Pay Attention to Tonnage of Vehicles to Avoid Damaged Roads

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) flicked that there are still many damaged roads in Lampung. Governor of Lampung Arinal DjunaidI asked the entrepreneur to pay attention to the tonnage of the vehicle.

“One thing I want to note is that the public and businessmen must pay attention to the tonnage of their vehicles. Don’t exceed the limit. We have been assisted by the President,” said Arinal while accompanying President Jokowi to inspect damaged roads in Central Lampung, reported by Antara detikSumatraFriday (5/5/2023).

Arinal said the number of damaged roads there was inseparable from the company’s truck operations which exceeded the tonnage. He reminded the public and entrepreneurs to both maintain road conditions there.

“One thing I ask is that the President has assisted the community around the entrepreneur to be aware of tonnage capabilities,” he said.

Therefore, he stated that he would coordinate with the Lampung Regional Police to take action against heavy vehicles with over tonnage alias ODOL.

“Yes, I will coordinate with the Lampung Regional Police to control vehicles that exceed this tonnage,” he said.
