Governor of Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi), Rudy Mastura fainted after the ritual process of unification of land and water at the zero point of the National Capital (IKN) Nusantara on Monday (14/3). He was seen being carried to the tent because he was weak.

“Yes, I fainted earlier. I wasn’t taken to the hospital. It was handled here, complete with medical equipment,” said the Head of the East Kalimantan Regional Secretariat Adpim Bureau, Ivan Syafranudin to CNNIndonesia.com on Monday (14/3) afternoon.

He explained that when Governor Rudy fainted, the person concerned immediately received treatment by the medical team who had been on standby since the Kendi Nusantara event began. The procession is under and after the activity participants go through the incline.

“Just fainted for a moment. Tired of going up the incline. So you understand,” explained the spokesman for the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.

Apparently not only Rudy Mastura who looked weak, he continued, several other regional heads also looked tired. This is presumably because the weather at IKN was indeed hot when the ritual took place from Monday morning to noon.

However, Ivan confirmed that only one regional head had fainted.

“Only the Governor of Central Sulawesi has fainted. Others are just tired,” he added.

In the land and water unification procession, each governor from 34 provinces took turns bringing land and water in front of President Joko Widodo. Then together they pour it into a large barrel as a symbol of the unification of land and water throughout Indonesia.

At that time, Governor Rudy looked healthy by bringing soil and water to President Jokowi to be poured into a large barrel. It is suspected that the hot weather and the long ritual process made the former Palu mayor weak.
