However, what was revealed by action groups in the Governor of Alexandria is that this oil is misused, and is not directed to soap or cardboard factories as many thought. thought, however, a large seizure by the Alexandria Supply Group revealed that the used oil was collected through these street vendors it is like junk and iron citizen sellers, and put it back on the market again

The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade of Alexandria, led by Engineer Ahmed Ibrahim, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Supply in Alexandria, has launched a major campaign in conjunction with the Agency Consumer Protection, led by Major General Mohamed Abu Bakila, Director of the Agency. The campaign resulted in the seizure of a factory without permission. jerry cans, 20 liters, with a total of 17,400 tons, 95 iron frames used in oil filling, 62 plastic structure columns used in oil filling, 20 oil cans that were previously used inside 16 kg, not suitable for human consumption, with a total of 320 kg.

In the same context, 18 large tanks with a tank capacity of 15 tons were seized, including 5 tanks with a total of 75 tons of reusable oil, 48 cartons containing used tarpaulin in oil filling, 10 oil suction and pumping motors used in oil. operational work, and 75 oil tanks with a tank capacity of 1000 liters And 3 iron tanks, the capacity of each tank is 25 tons, with about 50 tons inside.

The seized items were confiscated and the necessary legal steps were taken regarding these violations to be handed over to the Deputy Public Prosecutor.

For his part, Major General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, emphasized the continuation of surveillance campaigns on markets, shops, and sales centers in different neighborhoods, and the fight against all types of fraud and exploitation commercial.

As for health experts and doctors, they emphasized the danger of reusing cooking oil again, because it is dangerous to public health, especially since every time the oil will be reheated, it releases substances that are harmful to health, because it oxidizes incompletely, and leads to weak immunity and diseases of the digestive system and cancerous tumors.
