Governor Mara Lezama leads efforts to improve financial development in Quintana Roo

-The Governor installed the State Fiscal Coordination System and participated in the First Forum on Finance and Strengthening of Municipal Public Treasuries

Cancun.- Governor Mara Lezama protested to the members of the Meeting of Fiscal Officials, thus strengthening ties of collaboration between the federation, the state and the 11 municipalities to promote the financial development of government entities.

With the presence of Fernando Renoir Baca Rivera of the Coordination Unit with Federative Entities (UCEF), of the municipal presidents, the Governor highlighted the importance of governing with a firm fight against corruption, with efficiency, so that resources reach and the barriers of inequality are eliminated.

In the same way, he considered it important that the distribution of resources be reflected for the benefit of citizens. “In this New Agreement for Development we need prosperity to be shared and to invest in achieving social justice and narrowing inequality gaps.”

For this purpose, the members of the State Meeting of Fiscal Officials were installed and protested, in which public servants of the Ministry of Finance and Planning (SEFIPLAN) participate, representing the state government, and the treasurers of the 11 municipalities to address issues related to the calculation and distribution of the shares and incentives of the Federation-State administrative collaboration and of the federal contributions that correspond to the municipalities, among others.

Likewise, he inaugurated the “1st. Forum on Finance and Strengthening of Municipal Public Treasuries”, included the participation of the director of Financing for States and Municipalities of the Central and South Zone, Francisco Amador Ramírez, who presented the following topics: -Role of BANOBRAS in Financing and Assistance Technique for the Development of Municipalities. Financing Schemes for Municipal Productive Projects.

Karla López Lovera, BANOBRAS Technical Assistance Deputy Director, also participated, presenting “Technical Assistance Services for the Strengthening of Finances in States and Municipalities”.
