Governor of Central Java (Central Java) Ganjar Pranowo have checked the accident site of the Brantas train with a truck in Semarang. Ganjar is grateful that there were no casualties as a result of the train and truck accident.
“Last night I checked the accident site in Madukoro, Thank God there were no casualties, all were safe including the driver,” Ganjar said on his Twitter account, Wednesday (19/7/2023).
Ganjar said that handling the impact of the accident would be taken care of today. He thanked all those who had worked in handling the accident.
“Today everything will be cleaned up, the bridges and rails, so that they can be used again as soon as possible. Thank you all for your swift cooperation,” said Ganjar.
Previously, the accident between the Brantas train on the Jakarta-Blitar route occurred on Tuesday (18/7) at around 19.50 WIB. The train hit the head of a trailer truck that was traveling from north to south.
There was an explosion when the locomotive of the train hit the head of the truck. The head and tail of the truck trailer are stuck in the Semarang West Flood Canal Bridge.
