Governor David Monreal announces investment of 1 billion pesos to improve school infrastructure in Zacatecas

Fresnillo, Zac., May 23, 2022.- In his commitment to the education and academic training of girls, boys and young people, Governor David Monreal Ávila announced that an extraordinary investment of 1 billion pesos will be made to expand, build and rehabilitate the spaces of the public schools of the condition.

Gathered at the facilities of the Francisco Goitia Elementary School in Fresnillo, accompanied by the director of this institution, Yadira Carrillo Ramírez, and the mayor, Saúl Monreal Ávila, the state president made it clear that, given the deterioration, destruction and looting of the that various educational centers have been subjected to, they deserve to be rescued.

For this reason, in addition to the budget of 13 billion pesos destined for the operational expenditure of education in Zacatecas, 1 billion pesos will be used for the rescue and improvement of school spaces, in order to generate the conditions for a good development. and performance of girls, boys and young people who attend classes.

Before Maribel Villalpando Haro, head of the Zacatecas Secretary of Education (Seduzac), and José Luis de la Peña Alonso, director of the Zacatecan Institute for School Construction (Inzace), Governor David Monreal delivered the rehabilitation of four teaching classrooms, health services and furniture, which required a total investment of 2 million 095 thousand 809 pesos.

After listening to the needs and approaches of the director Yadira Carrillo, Governor David Monreal stated that, in this new governance, the effort is that, first, certainty be given to the teacher’s employment status and, secondly, efforts are focused on the rescue of educational spaces, because that also helps in the formation of society.

For this reason, the state president called on teachers, supervisors, fathers and mothers, as well as the student community, to join this fight to rebuild the social fabric, because, especially teachers, they are facing history and they will be essential to revert the social emergency condition that the entity is suffering from.

Governor David Monreal praised the teachers as the great shapers of thought, of structure, of society, for which he asked them “to help us rebuild the social fabric”, to promote free public education, because this is the the only opportunity for the daughters and sons of workers, peasants and merchants to get ahead.

“As they also asked me, I want to entrust children and youth, because the situation has forced us all to get involved, since security ceased to be a state issue to become an issue for all, and that deserves be attended to this social emergency,” he said.

Governor David Monreal said that children and adolescents need guidance, advice, the help of teachers, religious leaders and their people, “and I trust and hope that, fighting together, we will come out ahead in Zacatecas.”

After the presentation of prints by the Camacho Rodríguez Brothers Folkloric Ballet, Mayor Saúl Monreal recognized the joint work with Governor David Monreal and his interest in the well-being of Fresnillo families.

He stressed that, in the efforts to rebuild the social fabric, multiple actions are carried out and various joint projects are being prepared in the areas of sports, culture, education and support for merchants and businessmen, which will be shown next Thursday, at the Governor’s public hearing in Fresnillo.

Accompanied on this work tour by Laura Elvia Bermúdez Valdés, head of the Secretariat for Urban Development, Housing and Territorial Planning (Seduvot), the municipal president recognized the work and willingness to serve this unit, as well as supervisors, heads of region , teachers, teachers and personnel from the administrative area of ​​Seduzac in favor of El Mineral.
