The government may enter into a partnership with Tron Network. A delegation from the company presented the proposal to President Chan Santokhi on April 28 to introduce the company’s security system to Suriname. Tron Limited is a company engaged in producing software programs that contribute to cyberspace and internet transactions.
The delegation was accompanied by Assembly members Chuanrui Wang and Asiskumar Gajadien and General Manager of Latin America Zyanya Bejarano. The structures to lay the groundwork for the new stakeholder Tron Limited have been designated by President Santokhi to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation (BIBIS). The ministry will create space for the stakeholder to operate in Suriname.
Since there is confidence in Suriname for investment, this new technology will be promoted within the region. The delegation of Tron Limited will travel through the Caricom zone to promote the Blockchain technology and explore the opportunities for investing.
Blockchain is a system for capturing information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to alter, hack or threaten the system. “As technology is changing, we should not sleep as a country,” MP Gajadien said.
According to Minister Ramdin, Suriname will certainly have to invest in this technology in the future, as it is developing rapidly. The Tron Limited initiative will be continued by the Ministry of BIBIS. The delegation left yesterday and is looking forward to a fruitful cooperation with Suriname.
