The price for Wuling Air ev is guaranteed to be cheaper thanks to the ‘subsidy’ from the government. This made Wuling Air ev start being hunted by the public.
Wuling Air ev is the new prima donna in the Indonesian electric car segment. Compared to electric cars sold in Indonesia, Wuling Air ev is the cheapest. Wuling Air ev is currently sold at IDR 243 million for the Standard Range variant, while the Long Range variant costs IDR 299.5 million.
However, it should be noted that the price of the first Wuling electric car in Indonesia as of April 1 2023 is cheaper. Yes, since April the government has provided VAT (Value Added Tax) incentives for electric cars that have a TKDN (Domestic Component Level) value of at least 40%. Wuling meets these requirements because it has a TKDN value of 40.04% for the two variants.
Therefore, Wuling Air ev consumers will only be subject to 1% VAT instead of 11%. As a result, the price for Wuling Air ev is now IDR 20 million cheaper.
“For the Standard Range, it saves around Rp. 21 million, for the Long Range it is around Rp. 26 million,” said Wuling Motors Indonesia Brand and Marketing Director Dian Asmahani when confirmed by detikOto.
Wuling Air ev Standard Range is currently priced at IDR 243 million. This means that with a discount of IDR 21 million, the selling price will be IDR 222 million. Meanwhile, the Wuling Air ev Long Range now costs IDR 299.5 million. With the VAT incentive, the price for the Wuling Air ev, which can cover a distance of 300 km, costs IDR 273 million.
The cheaper selling price seems to be an additional lure. Dian said that currently the electric car made in Cikarang is starting to be sought after by consumers.
