/ world today news/ “The government is obsessed with the idea of standing in the way of big money, but it is not so diligent in its efforts to use it to make the lives of all Bulgarians better and more dignified”.
This is stated by the chairman of the BSP, Mihail Mikov, in his Facebook comment. The reaction of the leader of the left was provoked by the apparent inconsistency between the arguments with which the rulers explained the need for a new record loan, the need to cut social costs and cancel the reliefs, and the self-promotion that this year the “Borisov” cabinet collected more than 800 million. BGN more in the budget. If the reported revenue data are true, how will the rulers explain the calculations they made to oblige Bulgaria with BGN 16 billion, Mikov points out. Why was it necessary, with this efficiency of the state, for the government to take BGN 408 from people with a minimum wage, asks the chairman of the BSP.
On Wednesday, we learned that the government reports that at the moment the revenues in the budget are BGN 820 million more than the same period last year. If true, that in itself would be great news. But things are rarely as simple as they try to make us out to be. If this money really exists as income in the budget, and is not a balancing act of numbers, then it either appeared suddenly in the last two weeks, or someone did not do their calculations well enough when they obliged our country with the loan of 16 billion leva. Because now we all justifiably wonder even more what the explanation is for the multi-billion dollar loan in the presence of such good revenues in the budget. And we do not understand why it was necessary, with this advertised efficiency of the state, for the government to take BGN 408 from 272,000 people who receive the minimum wage, Mikov states in his comment.
The Prime Minister says: “It is clear to everyone that if we had not stood in the way of this money, 820 million today would be where it was last year.” I at least wonder if the government standing in the way of this money is good news for ordinary people or if it is good news only for the government. Will the common man touch these 820 million or the 16 billion, in whose path the same government stood a few weeks ago? And in general – we are left with the feeling that the government is obsessed with the idea of standing in the way of big money, but is not so diligent in its efforts to use it to make the lives of all Bulgarians better and more dignified, says Mikov.
