“In this logic of coordination with the population, these determinations will be heard and then work on a possible proposal that can put an end to these concerns that certain sectors have,” added the authority before the consultation on the possibility of making this more flexible. requirement.

The authority argued that there are several aspects that have to be taken into account for this purpose, for example the elements that the mobilized organizations have raised and that it can be an obstacle in the application and exercise of fundamental rights.

Auza holds meetings with sectors that oppose immunization, although he did not identify them.

At the end of December, the Government put into force supreme decrees 4640 and 4641, which establish the obligation to present the vaccination card with a complete scheme or PCR test carried out 48 hours in advance to carry out any procedure in a public or private institution. , interdepartmental or international trips, in addition to other activities.

However, on January 5, given the immense lines that the population formed to get immunized and pressure from MAS groups, the Government decided to postpone the validity of the vaccination card until Wednesday, January 26, as ordered by the National Strategic Council. for health emergencies.
