Government reported 137 new infections by covid-19 in the second week of March

The reports of the administration of Nicolás Maduro in the second week of March, Aragua was the entity with the highest number of covid-19 infections. To date, there are a total of 406 active cases.


According to the informative reports of the vice president Delcy Rodriguez and the Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, Venezuela reported in the week of March 5 to 11, a total of 137 cases in the country. All of them by community transmission.

The report shows that between March 5 and 6, the state of Aragua accumulated a total of 92 cases. It is followed by Miranda, which accumulated a total of 27 cases. No new deaths were recorded this week.

The latest report that corresponds to the figures for Saturday, March 11, reported that 22 new infections were registered in the country; all of them by community transmission. The state with the highest number of cases is Miranda, which recorded 15 active infections in five of its municipalities, “followed by the entities: Caracas (5), Táchira (1) and Bolívar (1).”

Rodríguez indicated from his social networks that, to date, there are a total of 406 active cases and 5,854 deaths.
