The Government contacted MPs Joacine Katar Moreira (not registered), Mariana Mortágua and Beatriz Gomes Dias (from BE) and offered them special police protection following the threats they were subjected to. The Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Duarte Cordeiro, was an “intermediary” in the offer, confirmed the same to the PUBLIC, forwarding all clarifications to the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI). BE did not confirm. Katar Moreira did not react to attempts by the PUBLIC to contact him.
