Llera, Tamaulipas. – Continuing with the Support for Productive and Economic Development, the Secretariat of Rural Development, Fisheries and Aquaculture delivered 85 tons of ammonium sulfate fertilizer to 220 citrus producers in the municipality of Llera; the above with the firm intention of increasing productivity and guaranteeing food self-sufficiency, a program to which a budget of 15 million pesos was assigned.
Eliseo Camacho Nieto, Undersecretary of Agricultural Development, attended on behalf of the Secretary of Rural Development, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Antonio Varela Flores, where he said he was aware of the problems that citrus growers go through year after year, based on which actions will be implemented. In coordination with the municipalities, “we are giving training to the producers of the different citrus municipalities, telling them that we have 10 extension technicians working with the producers.”
The event took place in the Emiliano Zapata ejido in the municipality of Llera, where 220 producers had the opportunity to receive the product, for the fertilization of a total of 425 hectares, which will allow minimizing production costs and somewhat solving the problem.
Likewise, he reiterated that they are working on the orchard pruning project, with a minimum cost for the producer, and that they can have better yields in their crops, always with the intention of supporting the families that make a living from this important activity that is Citriculture, with this type of actions we seek to contribute to improving the income level of producers in the rural sector.
Moisés Borjon Olvera, municipal president of Llera, first thanked Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya for always being attentive in supporting each and every Tamaulipas, especially the rural people, who through the Secretariat of Rural Development, Fisheries and Aquaculture These supports were delivered for the productive development of the thefts and for the benefit of citrus products from the municipality of Llera.

It is very clear that when the different orders of The government works collaboratively, better results are obtained and at Llera we want more benefits to continue transforming the countryside,” he said.
The event was attended by Alfredo Vanoye Mota, director of Agriculture; Lionzo González Ramírez, ejidal commissioner of Emiliano Zapata; Pedro Antonio Castro Sardina, coordinator of the Citrus Chain of the Extension Program and Citrus Producers of the municipality of Llera and the region.
