Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.- To bring health services closer and carry out early detection of breast cancer, the Ministry of Health has 25 iBreastExam devices, with which detections are carried out on personnel from government and private agencies of the entity.
The Secretary of Health, Vicente Joel Hernández Navarro, reported that, through the Undersecretary of Nursing, he reinforces the actions of the campaign “Breast cancer: prevention, early detection and timely treatment save lives,” in which the Nursing staff offers the population guidance, education on self-examination and warning signs, clinical breast examination and the complementary study with the iBreastExam.
“We want the population to have guarantees of care, which is why Dr. Américo Villarreal Anaya allocated the purchase of these devices for those who, for some reason, cannot go to the health unit for their mammography,” said Hernández Navarro.
He said that this medical device is used in people over 20 years of age to detect breast cancer at an early stage, it is non-invasive, non-painful and uses the latest generation of imaging technology to create a detailed map of the breast and detect possible areas of concern.
It is worth mentioning that to date nearly 15 thousand breast examinations and scans have been performed throughout the state; and there are 25 iBreastExam devices distributed in the 12 Health Jurisdictions; as well as a total of 76 operators certified for its use.
This detection campaign is free and during the month of October events, talks and detection days are being held in health units, government institutions and private institutions such as the Health Secretariat of 17 Guerrero and Bravo at 8:00 a.m. at 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, it will remain until October 31 of this year; At the facilities of the state DIF System at Calzada General Luis Caballero 297, Colonia Tamatán, the Mammography and Pap Smear Campaign began and you can go from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or make your appointment by phone 834 1724695.
This event, regarding the municipality of Victoria, will also be held at the Bicentennial Tower from October 7 to 14; KEMENT maquiladora from 10 to 15; Attorney General’s Office of Justice 14 and 15, Autonomous University of Tamaulipas 14 to 25; Government Palace 16 to 18; State Congress 23 to 25; Ministry of Education October 28 to November 1; As well as in the facilities of the Tamaulipas Fair, the attention module will be installed from October 10 to 20 of this year.
