Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. – In a night full of talent and emotions, pianist Mateo Hurtado Castillo performed this Monday at the Amalia G. Caballero de Castillo Ledón Theater, at the Tamaulipas Cultural Center, as part of the XXII International Festival on the Mexican Coast.
Despite his young age, Mateo Hurtado, winner of multiple renowned international competitions, captivated the public with his virtuosity and sensitivity. His achievements include awards at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition in Germany, the Odin International Music Competition in Ireland, the Progressive Musicians Classics Competition in the United States, and the Best Chopin Performance International Music Competition in the United Kingdom, among others. His performance was an example of his skill and dedication, which have led him to perform on important stages in both the United States and Mexico.
Born in Boston in 2009, Mateo continues his musical studies under the guidance of his parents, who have been fundamental in his training. In addition to his love of the piano, he enjoys drawing, painting, digital animation, and golf. His participation in the festival marked the beginning of the “Young People in Music” cycle in the Manuel M. Ponce Room of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, where he presented a carefully selected program to the delight of all attendees.
This event gave the public of Ciudad Victoria the unique opportunity to experience live the talent of a young artist who, from his early age, is leaving his mark on the world of classical music.
NIGHT OF LOCAL TALENT IN PLAZA JUÁREZ
In an evening full of music and emotions, Plaza Juárez was the stage where two great Tamaulipas talents shone.
On the one hand, the Martín Pantoja Group, originally from Tampico, Tamaulipas, made the Plaza Juárez esplanade vibrate.
With overflowing energy and a unique style of pop rock, and with 10 years of experience in the music scene, the band, composed of Martin Pantoja (vocals and guitar), Jorge Torres Blues (bass and backing vocals), and Ayax (drums) , delighted the audience with his talent and charisma.
This was just the beginning of an exciting tour, as the group prepares to conquer their next destinations: Monterrey and Mexico City.
In addition, the group Macbeth performed, a band made up of young people from various specialties from CBTis 271 in Ciudad Victoria. With their mix of rock pop and pop ballads in Spanish, they demonstrated the emerging talent of the region, connecting with the public through their passion for music.
