Government of Michoacan Supports Women Entrepreneurs with 3,156 Loans

He Government of Michoacan has provided 3,156 loans to mothers of families and women entrepreneurs, with the aim of helping them expand their businesses, achieve financial independence or promote productive projects.

The state representative, Alfredo Ramírez Bedollaexpressed his full support for women in his administration, noting that 442 million pesos have been allocated from the program Strength Woman to provide financing ranging from 3,000 pesos to 5 million, with interest rates ranging from zero to 13 percent per year, depending on the type of project.

What is Fuerza Mujer about?

This program is aimed at women from the age of 18 onwards, with no age limit, as well as groups engaged in productive activities. Its objective is to provide economic independence to the beneficiaries and counteract vulnerable situations.

The program has the participation of private banks and public organizations, specially designed to help women to achieve economic freedom y socialespecially in gender alert areas.

Support for women in Michoacán

The operation of the program Strength Woman is in charge of Comprehensive Financing System for the Development of Michoacán (Yes Finance).

In addition to providing credit, the beneficiaries receive training in the management of their businessesand if they meet the requirements, they have the possibility of accessing one, two or more loans to continue the growth of their companies.

Areli Gallegos Ibarra, head of Sí Financia in Michoacánstressed that this project is aimed at supporting various categories of women, such as those who are financially dependent on their partnerswho have left shelters, women who have served sentences in prisons, older adults and women with disabilities.
