Government of Jalisco does not rule out contracting a new unsecured loan – El Occidental

State authorities do not rule out hiring another unsecured loan before the end of the year for 400 million pesos, said the Secretary of the Treasury, Juan Partida Morales.

“It is probable. We are using this type of credit for the advance payments of participations for municipalities that require it at the end of the year, as it is a cheaper mechanism, our quality is the one that is taken into account, not that of the municipalities, it is cheaper for them and they are discounted ”, he acknowledged in an interview.

Check the data:

He explained that these credits are justified and that those contracted last year, which totaled 2 billion pesos, were liquidated in June of this year.

“They require this type of credit to meet liquidity needs”, especially when federal participations do not arrive and when they are received with said resource, these types of credits are paid that must be settled in the year they are granted. ” Then they pay it with that resource during the same year that it is granted to them.

The unsecured loans contracted in 2020 were used to support municipalities and support hospitals during the pandemic.
