(CRHoy.com) .- The Government of Costa Rica went to China to buy the Sinopharm vaccine, which is produced by that country.
This was communicated by the President of the Republic Carlos Alvarado during the press conference held today, Tuesday, May 18.
According to the president’s words, Costa Rica has been in contact with China to acquire the Sinopharm vaccine, after it was approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
“The government of Costa Rica has maintained negotiations with the government of China to receive vaccines and purchase Sinopharm,” said Alvarado.
Until this moment it is not known how many vaccines are being negotiated and if the Chinese government will agree with the negotiation.
However, the president assured that once they had a concrete answer, they will communicate itas you do not want to create false expectations.
