Government of Brazil intensifies actions to care for the Yanomami people

The Rede Brasil Atual portal assures that the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship sent reinforcements to the task force set up in that region since the denunciations of the inhumane situation and genocide of that town.

The mission will be under the direction of the Public Health Emergency Operation Center, since the presence requires a series of sanitary procedures to preserve the integrity of the native villages.

The Minister of Human Rights, Silvio Almeida, explained that the agenda will serve as the basis for the construction of a report that will guide the continuity of government actions.

It is intended to determine responsibilities regarding the humanitarian tragedy that occurred.

“The situation of the Yanomami people will only be resolved with long-lasting public policies, or in the perfect synthesis of President (Luiz Inácio) Lula (da Silva), with the effective presence of the State,” Almeida said.

At the same time, the ministry articulates associations with civil society organizations to make emergency actions viable for the Yanomami.

The Government seeks to strengthen the federal apparatus in the region, both specialized and military.

The Brazilian Air Force has already installed a field hospital in Roraima, with the aim of supporting the teams of the Ministry of Health and speeding up medical care.

The site points out that the repercussions of the genocidal actions in the Yanomami Indigenous Land, under the government of Jair Bolsonaro, caused the defeated president to demonstrate.

Bolsonaro published online on Saturday night that “never has a government paid as much attention and resources to the indigenous people” as his.

The correct term, however, would be neglect, reports the news portal.

In the end, during the previous government, the population of 30,000 Yanomami indigenous people in Roraima found themselves surrounded by the same number of people attracted by unpunished exploitation.

This contingent of 30,000 illegal miners was responsible for four times more deforestation and the poisoning of rivers.

Rede denounces that this is how the policy of genocide defended by Bolsonaro evolved since his days as a deputy considered inoperative.
