Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė received Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in the Government on Wednesday. The heads of government discussed regional security, the need to strengthen and speed up support for Ukraine, cooperation issues between the Nordic and Baltic countries – in the fields of security, energy, protection of the critical infrastructure of the Baltic Sea, as well as the bilateral promotion of economic cooperation between Lithuania and Sweden.

In fulfillment of the commitment to thoroughly revise the Criminal Code (PC) and balance the system of punishment, on Wednesday the Government approved the proposed new changes to the Penal Code.
