Government increases capacity in gyms and swimming pools to 80% and enables the use of saunas

The National Sports Secretariat (SND) announced that, as consulted by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), it authorizes owners or administrators of gyms, closed recitals and open or closed swimming pools, to increase the maximum capacity of people to 80% of its maximum capacity, as well as the use of spaces for changing rooms and the like.

In addition, the use of the sauna is allowed in a maximum of 50% of the maximum capacity of the same.

In order to enter, every person over 12 years of age is asked to prove the corresponding vaccination certificate issued by the MSP, stating that they received two doses of the covid-19 vaccine and that 14 days have passed since the second injection. The certificate can be presented in print or through the CoronavirusUy app

In turn, it must be ensured that the closed space has adequate ventilation that allows air circulation or permanent air recycling system.

The use of spaces for changing rooms or similar may not exceed 15 minutes per person.
