A ministerial working session, held yesterday Friday at the government palace in La Kasbah, under the chairmanship of the head of government, Ahmed Hachani took several measures including, in particular, the increase, for 2023, of the salaries of graduates of a degree in education sciences and substitute teachers as well as the guarantee of social security coverage.
Similarly, the same increase will be awarded under contracts aimed at filling unforeseen vacancies, in addition to the recruitment of 100 graduates of the École Normale Supérieure.
The meeting devoted to the return to school, university and training 2023-2024 recommended the regularization of the situation of 1018 teachers of social education (adult education and lifelong learning) as part of the State effort to eradicate illiteracy.
During this meeting attended by the Minister of Finance, Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia, the Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Ezzahi, the Minister of Education, Mohamed Ali Boughdiri and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research , Moncef Boukthir, it was also decided to increase, from 50 to 100 dinars, the amount of the back-to-school allowance for the benefit of about 500,000 students from needy families with limited income.
It was also agreed to increase the subsidy granted under the “Rawdhetna fi Houmetna” program (Our kindergarten is in our neighborhood) which benefits 25,000 children from needy families (from 50 to 70 dinars per month).
Emphasis was placed on the need to continue to help children in the preparatory cycle from families with limited income who benefit from the “Social Amen” program up to 100 dinars, and by continuing to allocate an amount of 120 dinars to about 30,000 students from families benefiting from the same program.
The session stressed the need to guarantee the availability of the subsidized notebook in sufficient quantities in all regions of the Republic and to fight against speculation.
As part of the strengthening of school infrastructure, particularly in rural areas, the meeting decided on the creation of 10 new educational establishments (primary and middle school) and the construction of 400 classrooms for the preparatory year, in addition to provision of 95 buses and 12 vehicles for the transport of school meals.
It was agreed to launch a joint program between the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines on the “energy transition” for the benefit of all educational establishments for a cost estimated at 300 million dinars.
