Government finalizes negotiations with Canada to complete the Palo Redondo Dam

After two months of contract negotiations from State to State for the execution and completion of the Palo Redondo Dam and the Third Line of the III Stage CHAVIMOCHIC, it was reported that they have concluded favorably, and that at the end of April, possibly on the 30th, The State-to-State Contract would be signed, reported Eng. The State-to-State Contract is framed in the process of contracting technical assistance to complete the Palo Redondo Dam and the Third Line of the Virú Siphon. As is known, the Canadian Commercial Corporation, a major engineering company in the world and agent of the Canadian government, will be the entity in charge of completing the work, paralyzed since 2016. This Phase (I) would be completed in 2027.

With the completion of the III CHAVIMOCHIC Stage, more than 150 thousand jobs will be generated and more than 30 thousand new hectares will be expanded for agriculture, allowing the country to earn more than 2 billion dollars each year, boosting the regional economy and that of the country, stated the PECH manager.
