One year after the first dose of the covid-19 vaccine was applied, the country reported a coverage in 80% of Colombians who have applied the biological.
“80% of Colombia has at least one dose, we are heading to 70% with two doses and more than 7 million Colombians have also already received the booster dose, because here we work with love for this country, with dedication for this country and we continue to move forward”, assured President Iván Duque during an event in Barichara, Santander.
The head of state pointed out that the National Vaccination Plan is achieving effective immunity and that, until now, 4.5 billion pesos have been earmarked for the purchase of 104 million vaccines from the different laboratories.
Similarly, the Ministry of Health indicated that with the arrival of the pandemic 1,127 points were opened that exclusively apply the vaccine against covid-19 in the country.
The projections of the Health portfolio indicate that vaccination has saved the lives of 22 thousand lives of people over 60 years of age, until December 2021.
