The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, informed that the COVID-19 Digital Vaccination Certificate is available for those who have already completed the vaccination scheme with two doses applied, a service that is made available to the population, as part of the Government commitment to maintain control of the pandemic and modernize health systems.
“The COVID-19 Digital Vaccination Certificate is now available. If you have already completed your vaccination schedule with the two doses, you can enter http://vacunacioncovid19.gob.sv, enter your data and download the digital certificate with the QR code that contains the information. The digital certificate is equivalent to the vaccination card (either of the two is valid) ”, said the president.
The Government has managed to keep the spread of the coronavirus in the country under control, thanks to early decisions and strategies that have led El Salvador to be recognized internationally, not only for its proper handling of the pandemic, but also for being one of the countries with the fastest rate of vaccination in the region.
To date, 6.1 million doses of the biological have been applied, of which 3.4 million correspond to the first dose and 2.6 million people who have the complete vaccination scheme. It is these who can already access the Digital Vaccination Certificate, which is equivalent to the physical card because both have the same validity.
For the Government of President Bukele, it is a priority to safeguard the lives of Salvadorans, which is why batches of vaccine against COVID-19 continue to arrive, which allows to continue developing the National Vaccination Plan, which has managed to exceed the application of 100,000 daily doses .
