Government creates working group to study transfers to local authorities

The Regional Government created a working group whose mission is to adapt national legislation to the region, which transfers competences to local authorities.

Pedro Ramos, spokesman for the government meeting, recalled that the guarantee of funding for the skills that will be transferred is at stake.

The regional secretary for Health and Civil Protection also highlighted the government’s praise for doctor José Velosa, a Madeiran born in Porto Santo, who retired after a long research career, teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon and articulating between the Regional Health Service and the services of the continent.
